FCM, Rydoo, and Notilus win the tender launched by CNRS and AMUE
Lyon, July 12, 2021 - The CNRS and AMUE have entrusted the overhaul of travel management for French research and universities to the trio of Notilus, Rydoo and FCM, to dematerialize end-to-end processes related to travel orders and expense reports.
A new platform dedicated to the management of travel for French research and universities
In October 2020, the CNRS (National Centre for Scientific Research) and the AMUE (Agency for the Mutualization of Universities and Institutions) launched a call for tenders to overhaul the entire travel management process for their employees.
The implementation of a new platform was to enable the end-to-end dematerialization of travel request processes, representing 97 million euros of annual expenditure. To support their 200,000 potential users, the CNRS and AMUE chose an ambitious new solution with the consortium of Rydoo (reservation portal and hotel database), FCM (business travel agency), and Notilus (solution for managing mission orders and expense reports).

This consortium, winner of the call for tenders, will therefore be involved in all processes related to the travel of CNRS and AMUE missionaries, namely:
Lodged card (or travel card solution) for managing transactions associated with business travel,
Security and risk management with the subcontractor Risk&Co.
The consortium wins a 3-year contract
A strong relationship ties the 3 companies who decided to create this partnership to answer the call for tenders in October 2020. Their complementarity and cohesion were key to their success, as they already have several references in common, such as UGAP (as part of the “Déplacements Pro” offer for Notilus and FCM) and KPMG (for Rydoo and FCM).
During this call for tenders, which lasted more than six months, the FCM, Notilus, and Rydoo consortium competed against three other consortia. The duration of the contract won is 3 years, renewable for up to 6 years.
FCM and Rydoo had already joined forces to support the CNRS on its previous contract. Notilus was already a service provider for the AMUE for the management of mission orders and expense reports. FCM was also already serving the AMUE in the framework of the UGAP market. Today, the three entities have joined forces to provide the best response to these two public organizations.
Concerning the deployment of the solution, five successive waves of implemented institutions are planned. They will be spread out from June 2021 to March 2023.
For Solenn Le Brazidec, General Manager FCM Travel France & Switzerland:
“We are delighted that the CNRS and the AMUE beneficiaries that we were already serving, are trusting us to continue the work we have been doing over the past few years, in a new technological context and with our excellent partners, Notilus and Rydoo. Making sure that our customers are satisfied and continue the adventure alongside us remains our core objective.”
For Sébastien Marchon, CEO Rydoo:
“The Rydoo team is particularly happy to win this tender because it proves our business travel booking tool and our hotel offer have been able to meet, over the past few years, the requirements of one of our strategic customers and a very important player in the French public sector, the CNRS. It is also a great pleasure to welcome the AMUE and the AMUE establishments into the Rydoo community.”
For Gilles Bobichon, Director of the Notilus business:
“We are happy and enthusiastic to accompany the CNRS and AMUE in this magnificent project over the long term. The approach of our group, Notilus, FCM, and Rydoo, was to bring a very high level of expertise, competence, and know-how during the response, defence, and workshops provided for in the call for tender.”
